Groove-based Southern Rock with a hint of AOR for good measure, is what Point Blank provides. Guitarist and main man Rusty Burns was once a guitar technician for ZZ Top, and the latter's manager Bill Ham also discovered the potential of Point Blank. The band released six albums from 1976 to '82, "Nicole" (1981) becoming their biggest hit. Point Blank disbanded, largely due to legal wrangles, but returned to the scene in 2005. In 2009, they released their first studio album in twenty seven years, "Fight On!". Now the band makes their second appearance at SRF - a welcome return for all friends of hard-hitting melodies and that genuine Southern atmosphere.
